Brand strategist

Diya Vasu

I work with ambitious businesses to uncover their distinctive idea, sharpen their positioning, and turn it into stories people want to engage with.

Good strategy makes the important thing impossible to miss.

The work

Strategy with a storyteller's lens.

The best brand work happens where analytical thinking meets creative intuition.

I’m Diya Vasu, a brand strategist working across strategy, communications, and creative thinking.

My work sits between the business problem and the brand idea: understanding what a business is trying to achieve, finding the insight or tension that matters, and turning it into a clear point of view people can understand, remember and act on. Building a strong brand isn’t just about what they sell, but why it matters, what they stand for, and how they make people feel.

I've worked across industries, bringing together strategic thinking, communications experience and a strong instinct for culture, people and ideas.

The problems I solve

When the brand isn't quite working.

The business may be strong. The opportunity may be real. But somewhere between what the company knows and what people understand, something gets lost.

01

The brand has lost its edge.

The category has become crowded and the brand no longer feels meaningfully different.

02

The story isn't landing.

The business has plenty to say, but no compelling narrative that people can easily grasp.

03

The brand has outgrown itself.

The business has evolved, but its positioning and expression haven't kept pace.

04

Everything feels disconnected.

Strategy, communications, content and creative are working hard, but not from the same idea.

05

There's something there.

The distinctive idea exists somewhere inside the business. It just hasn't been found yet.

Portfolio

A strategy designed to influence what the brand does next, not just what it says.

My POV

Good brands aren’t just seen.
They’re remembered.

The best brand strategies don't live inside strategy decks. They show up in what a company says, what it creates, what it prioritizes, and how people experience it.

Differentiation isn't a tagline. It's a business decision.

A brand story isn't what a company says about itself. It's the meaning people take away.

Creativity needs strategy to give it direction. Strategy needs creativity to give it meaning.

Let’s connect

Let's talk about the brand you're building.

Whether you're defining a new brand, repositioning an existing one, or trying to figure out why the current story isn't working, start with the problem.
